Psychological tool WISC-V

WISC-V is an integrated psychometric tool that examines a child's mental function in five fields. The WISC-V scale (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, Fifth Edition) is used globally more frequently for children's intellectual assessment and is weighted in Greece.

The fifth version of the WISC tool which is also the most modern has been thoroughly revised and updated, and at the same time it is the most reliable and valid scale for assessing the intelligence of children aged 6 years and 0 months to 16 years and 11 months.

The Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC) is used in all Mental Health Centers in the country as well as by private psychologists and is considered essential for the diagnosis and design of an individualized treatment program for a child.

The estimation and assessment of a child's cognitive functioning is extremely useful in the following cases:

  • Diagnosis of Mental Functionality
  • Diagnosis of Specific Difficulties
  • Assessment of Mental Charismatics
  • Planning of Difficulties in Responding
  • Therapeutic Planning
  • General Neuropsychological Assessment

Its results can be a guide to interventions and integration decisions in appropriate contexts, providing valuable clinical information.
